“I was enrolled in an SAT class before I found The EDGE. I wasn't getting what I wanted out of the class and my test scores weren't where I wanted them to be. My EDGE tutor was dedicated to helping me achieve the best possible test scores on the SAT and ACT and evenhelped me write my college essays along with my resume. My tutor was an amazing teacher who truly cared about each one of her students.”

“The EDGE customized a small group tutoring package for three of my friends for the SAT II in Chemistry. We met every Saturday for 2 hours for close to two months. Not only did two of us get perfect scores, but we actually had fun with our tutor and looked forward to our sessions. I’m now using a private tutor from the Edge in College Preparation for my SATs and am confident that I’m going to do really well this Spring.”

“I was tutored with my twin sister Lauren and even though we are twins, we are extremely different. I am horrible at math and my sister is great. I thought it would be really hard for me because I wouldn’t be able to keep up, but it was the best experience. Not only did our tutor teach us so many new techniques to make the test seem easier, but she also helped us feel less insecure about the test. After a couple of sessions, we recommended her to all our friends and they ended up using her too. We all did extremely well on our test and are going to use her in the fall for our college applications.”

“My mother signed me up for an SAT prep course over the summer, which I was not so excited about, but my instructors were so energetic that the class actually seemed fun. Everything they said was so helpful. After just a couple of sessions, my scores were going up 100 points on the diagnostic test. I’m now working with my teacher from the course for private tutoring and love our sessions. She’s so motivating and really makes me work hard. Each week I see an improvement and am working my way toward my goal score.

“I work for Lehman Brothers and really wanted to apply for their Business School opportunity and had to take the GMAT. I was going to just sign up for some Kaplan course when my boss told me about The Edge. I had never heard of The Edge, but I figured if my boss was recommending it, it had to be good. I met with my tutor for the first time and couldn’t believe how intelligent she was. I was literally just showing her random problems out of my workbooks from mba.com and she was able to help me with all of them. After our initial meeting, she designed a program for me that we followed together leading right up to test day. I went up over 100 points on the math and was ecstatic.”

“I would not have wanted to use any other company for SAT preparation. Jessica and everyone at The Edge are the best!!! I went up over 300 points on the SAT!”
~Student, American School in London Class of 2009
“When I was a junior, I took a Kaplan course for two months every weekend and when I took my SAT in May, my score actually when down in some areas. I was really bummed and did not even want to take it again because I was so frustrated My friend who took Kaplan with me used a tutor from The Edge and said that it was really helpful, so I decided to use the same tutor. It was so helpful because I actually learned techniques that could apply to lots of different types of questions. After only 6 sessions my score went up to a 630 in the math section. I improved 130 points and am so excited. I’m so glad I decided to give it another shot.”

“My tutor at the EDGE is the best tutor I could have ever asked for. She is so knowledgeable about the test-she takes it all the time and gets perfect scores-and she really cares about how I do both on the test and with my other activities. I am in DECA and so was she when she was in high school, so in addition to tutoring me for the SAT, she is also helping me with my 30-page DECA project. I’m so glad I used The Edge because I just got my PSAT scores back and I went up 220 points from last year, but we have big goals and I plan on going up 200 more points. I’m really motivated and know I can accomplish my goal.”

“I received a scholarship from The Edge this fall and it was one of the best things that happened to me. My tutoring sessions with The Edge were amazing. I learned so much and actually improved. When I first left my regular high school, I wouldn’t have even dreamed of applying to college, but now my SAT scores are good enough that I think I might have a shot at getting into Long Island University-C.W. Post. My scholarship has meant a lot to me. It not only raised my score, but improved my self-confidence.”
~Student, Class of 2007

“I used The Edge to prepare for my SAT, ACT, and college applications. I knew exactly where I wanted to go to school and my tutor worked with me toward that goal from our first session. My instructors from other courses would just go over the questions we got wrong on homework and tests, but my tutor from The Edge really taught me techniques that I could use on every test. I saw a huge improvement in my scores and got in Early Decision to my top choice school. It was a great decision to switch to The Edge.”
~Student, Roslyn High School Class of 2008
“I was really reluctant about taking an SAT prep course because my math and writing scores were already pretty high, but my reading score was not high enough at all. After meeting with an advisor from The Edge, she assured me that I would not be held back at all in the math and writing, but that by taking a course I would actually improve in all the subjects. When I got there I was placed in the Advanced class for math and writing and the Intermediate class for reading and the pace in all the classes was perfect.By the last diagnostic test I had already improved 420 points. I could have never imagined going up that much. I’m glad that I took the course and will probably take the refresher course again this spring right before the May test.”
~Student, Scarsdale High School Class of 2008
“I knew Jessica while we were at Princeton together, so when I had to take my GRE I decided to try The Edge, and I’m so glad I did. I’m applying for my Master’s in Nursing at Columbia University and The University of Pennsylvania, and was a little rusty in the math section. My private tutor designed a personalized plan for me and I felt extremely confident and relaxed going in to the test. I got close to a perfect score in the math section (that’s a 240 point increase in the math section alone)! I’m so glad I chose The Edge and recommend it to all my friends going on to graduate schools.”

“My family moved to New York from England over a year ago and I have been extremely disappointed at the state of the education system here. I was delighted to receive a recommendation from my realtor for a private tutor from The Edge. She graduated from Princeton, and I had her tutor my daughter, a seventh grader, for two hours every Saturday to supplement her studies at school and to also prepare her to take the SSAT so she could apply to Friends Academy. Our tutor taught her more advanced topics in math and science and really challenged her. She also helped her with her essay writing skills and had her write an essay each week in addition to her schoolwork. It is very challenging for my daughter, but also very rewarding because I can honestly say that she will be much more prepared for the rigors of Friends Academy after having a tutor from The Edge.”

“After my daughter completed one SAT course and was dissatisfied, I turned to The Edge for a second shot. Jessica worked with my daughter for over a year and became a welcomed part of our week. I looked forward to having her come over because she not only helped my daughter immensely, but she took the time out to talk to me, find out how the family was doing, and answer all my questions about the college application process.

“A close friend of mine recommended The Edge to me last spring when I needed a tutor for my daughter for her Biology Regents. I called The Edge only three days before the test thinking that I probably wouldn’t be able to get someone on such short notice. The Edge was able to provide an amazing tutor. Not only did my daughter pass the Regents, but she did extremely well. It was the highest grade she had gotten all year in Chemistry. I was so satisfied with the results that I signed my daughter up for a PSAT prep course over the summer and am now using a private tutor from The Edge for the SATs.

“I had never heard of The Edge, but all of my son’s friends were talking about it, so I decided to give it a try. My son was so happy with his tutor that was actually excited about the days that she would come. He really bonded with his tutor; the methods must have been great as well because he not only reached his goal, but surpassed it by 60 points.“
